Heart failure is common in adults, accounting for substantial morbidity and mortality worldwide. Its prevalence is increasing because of aging of the population and improved treatment of acute cardiovascular events, despite the efficacy of many therapies for patients with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction.
After completing this course, participants will be able to:
• Define CHF and the cause
• Describe the difference between the left side and right-side heart failure
• Explain classifications, treatment, and management of CHF
• Summarize the nursing plan of care and nursing responsibilities
